In his resignation letter, he expressed gratitude to the PDP for the opportunities it afforded him, including his time in office and his candidacy in the 2018 poll.

However, he lamented that the party had lost its way and no longer provided a viable platform for credible opposition or national leadership.

“After deep reflection and consultation, I have concluded that the PDP has significantly strayed from its founding principles of constructive opposition and credible leadership,” he wrote.

“I can no longer continue with the party in its current state.”

He appreciated the party leadership, members, and supporters who had stood by him over the years, and wished the PDP well in its future endeavors.

According to reliable sources, Olusola-Eleka will formally declare for the ADC during its official unveiling in Ekiti State on Friday.
