The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has elected new executive members into its National Executive Committee (NWC) at the party’s national convention held in Ibadan on Saturday.
At the end of the voting exercise, 19 people were elected into different leadership positions of the party.

A former Minister of Special Duties, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, emerged as the new National Chairman of the party, Hamza Akuyan Koshe was elected as the deputy chairman (North), Daniel Ambrose Woyengikuro was elected as the deputy chairman (South), while Arapaja Taofeek Gbola-Oladejo was elected as the national secretary of the party.
