BREAKING: PDP National Convention holds November in Ibadan

The National Elective Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, originally planned to be held in August has been shifted to November 2025.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, made the announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday after the party’s 101st National Executive Committee meeting.

Ologunagba stated that the convention will now take place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, instead of the previously announced venue, Kano.

Meanwhile, the Acting PDP National Chairman, Umar Iliya Damagum, disclosed that most party members who had left for the coalition have started returning.

Damagum said those affected have started confessing that they never left the PDP but only attended a few coalition meetings.

The acting National Chairman described the coalition as a failed political experiment.

He assured that only the PDP has the structure, national reach, and legacy to lead Nigeria forward.

Damagum insisted that only the PDP has what it takes to reclaim power from the All Progressives Congress-led government.
