“We need to remember our security agencies. I’m doing this because they are doing a great job and deserve to be encouraged,” he said.

“Having served in the military, I understand the challenges they face. Imagine what could happen if our security agencies went on strike for just a week. This is why I’m urging other politicians with the means to emulate this kind gesture.”

Representing the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, Deputy Commissioner of Operations, Ekanem Usen, commended the lawmaker for his thoughtful intervention, describing it as a timely and valuable contribution.

“We sincerely appreciate Hon. Agboworin for this gesture. He has carried out several empowerment programmes in the past, and this support to the security agencies is another demonstration of his commitment to public service,” Usen said.

“These items are essential for effective operations — before, during, and after field duties.”

Also speaking, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Security, CP Sunday Odukoya (rtd), lauded the lawmaker for aligning his initiative with the governor’s vision to promote a safer Oyo State.

Among the beneficiaries were the Oyo State Police Command Headquarters, State DSS Office, Operation Burst, Amotekun, and several divisional and local security offices, including those at Idi-Ape, Agugu, Felele, Idi-Aro, Mapo, and the DSS and NSCDC offices in both Ibadan North East and South East Local Governments.
